A truly gorgeous engagement photoshoot! What’s more fun to shoot than a fun-loving couple chasing the summer sunset on the lead up to their autumn wedding?
Jonathan & Arianna commissioned me to capture a hazy, romantic golden hour in their local London park. We set out at golden hour to capture their engagement photographs and the moon made an appearance. A second photoshoot the following morning also allowed for portraits in the grounds of a stately home to use as part of wedding invitations and wedding-website images.

Weather often plays an important part in a wedding or engagement photoshoot. Whilst uncontrollable, I will always plan in advance and discuss multiple options with my clients to ensure we make the most of a shoot.
For this shoot, I threw in an additional evening slot, in advance of seeing heavy cloud forecast for the following morning, which was the original engagement photoshoot booking. We tracked the sunset to their local meadow and arrived in time for golden hour. On other photoshoots, I’ve had to adapt to extreme snow or heavy downpours. Often, these weather changes can lead to unique moments that I am able to capture thanks to being prepared with good gear, adaptable settings and an enthusiasm to make the most of it.
